Bill Gates once said that “Software is a great combination between artistry and engineering". It is extremely evident how software has, and still plays, a major role in creating and shaping our present world. This is something I’ve learned over the period of my life not just by observing people, but also through personal experience. It was no surprise that for a curious and inquisitive individual like me, software piqued my interest at a very early age. With a 12th Grade board result of 92.4%, gold and platinum medal winner for academics and a steadfast resolve to learn further, I went on to do my Bachelors in Technology in Electronics and Communications branch. I completed my B.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, which is one of the most prestigious colleges in India. Ltd, Bangalore for the Product and Innovation Division, as an Associate Developer for over a year. Our division handles the Installed Base Management and Support of our product, Business Partner. Business Partner is a master data product, which is consumed by over two hundred applications within SAP and many more external customers. My team handles the development and support of the backend side for our product, with ABAP as our primary coding language. My work includes a thorough understanding of fundamentals of our products and all its components, which requires both functional and technical experience. And also a strong understanding of customer business needs, business processes and solution landscape. Despite being a fresher, I have created several standard modules, SAP notes and reports to clear database inconsistencies and also to enhance the Business Partner product functionality. I am currently the topic lead for some of the major components of our product and I was also nominated in our annual All Hands Meeting as the “Rising Star” from my Team.
