Everyones educational expiernces are different, for some learning comes easy and others it's difficult for them. For me, it went both ways. Having a older sister in school and seeing everything that she accoplishes always made me want to do better with everything I did. When she started college it pushed me to try harder in high school because I always wanted to go to college like she was. All four years of my high school were difficult because I had a very hard time with my math classes. Since I wasn't doing good in math it made me want to stop trying in a lot of my other subjects just because I felt like I wasn't smart enough or like I couldn't do it. My English teacher from Freshman and Sophomore year helped me a lot with giving me motivation to have more of a growth mindset. I know that I've grown into a growth mindset because I don't want to just look smart, I want to actually be smart and learn new things. I dont care about looking smart or having a good social life, like the fixed mindsets do. During these years my best motivation has always came from my mother. I've always known that she wants the best for my sisters and I. My mom never praised me so much to where I didn't want to continue learning. With a fixed mindset students are more likely to lie about their scoresand not try as hard because they had way to much confidence. To foster my motivation I've always had support from my mother and my sisters. My boss from work who is in the RN program right now, also supports me a lot and helps me with being better in school. Also, I get motivation from myself because I know what I want to have in my life so I want to succeed enough to where I can make myself happy and
