My mother always says that I have a natural curiosity even from the very beginning of my life. According to my mom, I came out of her body one month earlier than the expected date. Instead of crying like other babies, the first thing I did when I came out was to catch on my breath with relief, as if I had been waiting too long to meet the world. Even though I could not remember the first thing that I did when I was born, I am sure that I always have eagerness to learn and to know the beauty of the world. The diversity of human cultures and civilizations still astonishes me. By exploring my interest in liberal arts at Wesleyan College, I started to realize that I want to write my personal legend through envisioning and creating a more inclusive and peaceful world through storytelling. Double majoring in Theatre and Communication, I believe that human beings can be united through transcendence of shared pain and love. In my opinion, human beings are essentially relatable with each other. And it can be achieved through practicing intercultural communication I realize the importance of immersing in a diverse cultural environment at Wesleyan College by talking and befriending with students from all over the world. This dynamic cultural environment helps me learn and grow as an artist and excites my curiosity for languages, arts, and literatures from cultures. Therefore, it has been my dream to live and study in another country again for better understanding of a culture. And Ewha International Summer School offers a great opportunity for me. And I firmly believe that culture exchange experiences will benefit me not only my artistic career but also my personality development.
