The thing in my life that I think that goes unnoticed is my drive to be competitive, but I happen to be one that sticks out. Not always by winning, but a positive attitude and drive to succeed unlike others are willing to do. I, unfortunately, made the mistake of being too competitive in my sport. At that time, I did not realize other aspects in my life, such as how I compromised my academic career potential. I chose the collegiate athlete route. I then realized, once I got to college, I wanted competitive in my academics and future. Gradually, I learned it is very important to me to have been able to connect my competitiveness to other aspects of my life, even though it may not be noticed. I walked onto my collegiate team, and that year the team brought home the 14th straight national title. But for me, I learned that academics are more important for my future than being competitive in a collegiate sport. I then began to look into the athletic training program I am in, and started comparing it to Madison’s athletic training program. I looked at Madison’s reputation and BOC pass rate. I am ready to be competitive in order to come back to Wisconsin and be apart of the University of Wisconsin- Madison’s campus, and show what I can do academically. I know I am capable due to my increasing GPA, drive in my program, and wanting to be back in Wisconsin. I started with a low high school GPA of a 2.7, and now I have a current college GPA at Lindenwood of a 3.81 and on the University 's Dean’s list. I don’t do what I do to be noticed but to better myself because I am so competitive in whatever I do even if it is unnoticed. I stay competitive in my school work in order to earn the privilege to become a badger, be back with my family in Wisconsin, go to Badger football games in the suite with friends and family, and to be part of a community where academics are highly
