Is School Really That
Is school really that important? The answer is quite simple...Yes! To get a job in today's world, it is required, but to learn everything, No way. We are smothered by people who are older, and wiser. They have been through experiences we have yet to personally. Closing these people out will only make these experiences more difficult. Having an open mind when spending time with these people, will make these experiences easier and you might learn a few things. In my case, a summer working on my grandparents farm was the answer. With this job came hard work, and also a great learning experience, Also with all this time spent and keeping an open mind, I learned a lot about their past experiences, which I learned from. May 27, the final bell of my senior year of high school rang. No more school, I get to choose how to live my life! What I also needed to do was to find a summer job before college.Options were thrown my way by my dad because he somehow knows everybody. But the one that really caught my interest was Monday-Wednesday working on my grandparents farm in Newaygo an hour north. I always loved visiting them, but that rarely happens. was i in for a treat. learning to drive a tractor was as confusing as learning spanish. It didn't make sense until i burst my bubble and engaged my critical thinking on how to shift gear. Not many people today can say that tractor driving is important. And to many it's not, but it taught me to open my mind to new ideas. Spending hours at a time running a tractor back in forth tedering hay, in other words spreading the hay out to dry faster, really was exhausting. Although it was exhausting coming inside after a long day to homemade meals and browning was all worth the sun burned nose and shoulders. to make things better hearing all the stories about my grandparents lives really opened my eyes to how life has ups and
