The Path Set Before Me
Looking at the junior highers quietly sitting around me, reading the bible passage, I feel a swell of contentment. The feeling of God working through me as I lead my group of campers through a week of fun and learning is something I will never forget. My time working at Wood Lake Bible Camp may have been the first time I realized that I could spend my life working with youth. God has since given me more opportunities to discover the path he has set before me through mission trips, english camps, and my experiences as a missionary kid. I hope that in the future I will be able to use my passions and skills to teach and empower youth around the world.
I daily strive to cultivate my ability to connect with and encourage the people around me in order to make an impact in their lives. From taking the time to make sure my friends are doing well when they seem down to investing in anyone who appears to be alone, I feel compelled to act when I see a need. Living my life all over the world has given me a love for travel, and for the cultures and people in each new county. I enjoy not only learning about how the world works, but also going out and seeing it for myself. Immersing myself in new cultures and loving on the people therein is always an exciting adventure. Finding something new at every turn and experiencing life to its fullest is such a amazing feeling. Growing up in Thailand has given me adaptability and openness towards change. In the future I am willing to go to whatever nation or region God leads me to. Even if he does not lead me to travel, I do not think I will ever be content to simply live my life in one spot. My desire to see God’s world gives me a willingness and desire to be send out into all nations. A career that allows for travel or even calls for it is something that God has well equipped me
