The Trails That Make Me Wonder I tend to think a lot in my free time at home. Although something always manages to distract me. Whether it is my mom or my troublesome four year old sister who enjoys making messes around the entire house. Therefore, the best time for me to think is when I’m outside. The outdoors where the foxes roam is the most quiet and peaceful place. A place for one to reflect on oneself. I do this because I want to become a better person. I am fine.” She would never listen to me and I am glad she didn’t. When I was six and a half I watched a replay of the two thousand and six Winter Olympics. I then watched the skiing portion of the Olympics, then I really wanted to do the sport and begged my mom. Finally when in first grade summer I tried a pair of skies on for the first time. It felt great. I started gliding around and I was able to be happy and ski. I was in the very back of the group in Junior Nordic but it was worth it. I would go as quick as I could until I caught up with them. Day by day went by and I went quicker and quicker. Skiing became more natural to me and I was able to have deep thoughts while I was on my beat up skies that were barely keeping up with my feet. To this day I still go out on the trails where it is quiet and peaceful where I can relax and think. It is a place where I do not have to be stressed out about school or life. A place where all I need to worry about is not running into a tree. It is then I have my deep reflections, on who I really am. Am I really that bad? Or am I an okay person.
