Everyone has trials that impact their lives and disrupt current events, but my situation is directly related to persevering through stress and difficult times, which is what makes an excellent nurse.
A devastating year of my life was my senior year of high school when my mother passed away from a heart attack, for this reason I want to go into surgical cardiovascular nursing. I want to know exactly what the heart does to keep our bodies going and what kinds of things influence its function.
My studies are so important to me that I went back to school two days after that tragedy to prevent myself from falling too far behind in my classes. I was able to graduate with over a 3.0 grade point average and receive about 10,000 dollars in scholarships through my high school.
