She emphasizes the importance of looking ahead into your future, whether applying to college, improving upon your mental or physical health, working a job, or spending your life with a perfect person. This message is heavily put on college students and all their future decisions. In terms of college, this quote is very enthralling because the money made that is going towards college debt will disenfranchise somebody. Now till the end of time, whether students have money to spend or not, there will always be a visible imbalance between the two. After college, most people do not appreciate how long it will take them to repay. In the United States, as of 2023, the student debt price is over 1.6 trillion dollars. If you also take into account paying this off day by day, all experiences will have to be changed. Going to parties, out with friends, or money in case of emergency will always be a questioned thought due to one’s financial situation. Paying off debt is vital to one's credit score and ability to secure loans. Moreover, the employment rate of workers in college has grown so much over the years. Students are becoming burnt out because they need to make a steady income to pay for their teachings. Another thing to mention is that people will have fewer opportunities or experiences because they will not have enough money. College finances soak all the money out of students making parts of their life incomplete. To add insult to injury, families will be ruptured creating problems that might never be fixed again.
