With the score 2-3, down by one with two outs, and up to bat in the championship game. Sweat dripped down my face from the 104-degree weather with college scouts watching anxiously. Examining how the pitcher felt confident as she threw the first pitch for a strike. The next pitch, I swung and hit a fly ball, praying the right fielder wouldn't catch the ball. As I rounded second, I saw all my teammates run out the dugout shouting from the top of their lungs after seeing my hit soar over the fence. Softball is more than just a sport. With this being a team sport, everyone has to work together and play their role to succeed.
