Dyslexia can be defined as “any of various reading disorders associated with impairment of the ability to interpret spatial relationships or to integrate auditory and visual information.” Often children with dyslexia are misunderstood, they are thought to have poor vision or be of low intelligence or lazy. However, this is most often not the case, as people with dyslexia experience a condition that affects the way in which the brain processes information. It is a known fact that dyslexia occurs more often in boys than it does in girls. Unfortunately, dyslexia is not something you can outgrow, as it is a lifelong learning disability.
