The book the great gatsby show a lot of color in the book which represent symbolization. All the golds,greens,and whites that are in it shows wealth, characteristics and many more things. An the research heps and see how it shows all the symbols in the book while backing up the text and book.

Colors is a symbol that is used in The Great Gatsby one of them is yellow. Green is used many of times in this book. As seen “on week-ends his rolls-royce became an omnibus, bearing parties to and from the city between nine in the morning and long past midnight, while his station wagon scampered like a brisk yellow bug to meet all trains (fitzgerald 39). The yellow resembles the wealth that he has. As in the research is shows that gold is a symbol of wealth “the gold and silver slippers are the emblem of their wealth, but dust here…”(parkinson 46). Green is used to stand for new life. As seen in the research “green represents new life, youth and hope, but also inexperience and naivety” (parkinson). So this shows that the book means new life and hope. As seen in the book “green light that burns all night at the end of your dock” (fitzgerald 92). This shows that he sees the green light at the end of daisy's dock and he looked at it every night for maybe one she will come to him.

The books shows a lot of characteristics using color in it as shown “they were both in white, and their dresses were rippling and fluttering as if they had just been blown back in after a short flight around the house” (fitzgerald 8).
