One Country, Two States
Iowa is not known for its natural beauty, while the elegant state of Colorado is known for its beautiful scenery. Stereotypical statements would state that Iowa is known for its numerous cornfields. However, there is so much more to each of these jaw-dropping states than just their scenery. From flat ground, to hilly mountains, to weather, to animals, Iowa and Colorado have a countless number of characteristics contrasting one another.

There are not as many crops produced in Colorado as there are in Iowa. For example, there is a lot of wheat produced in Colorado. The tall mountains and hilly surfaces make it tough for crops to grow efficiently. The crops that are produced in Colorado are different than the crops produced in Iowa. The crops have a lot to do with the scenery and that affects what is seen in each state. The tall mountains call for beautiful scenery. Colorado has the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets when they are visible and not hiding behind the mountains. Living in Colorado in the winter can be extremely tough. It snows often, and when the snow comes down it comes down hard. For the people that live in the mountains, sometimes can not leave their homes because the roads are blocked with snow because the state is so high in elevation. For the citizens that live in the city, the roads can be slick. Also because the elevation is so high, it gets extremely cold and dry. Colorado summers are exceptionally dry. There is low humidity throughout the summer. It does not usually get scorching hot, although it may seem like it because Colorado is closer to the sun.
