According to the fact that Columbia College has produced a large number of Novel Prizes, people all over the world acknowledge you as the greatest school throughout the world. Moreover, not only a Novel Prize winner but also many graduates are playing an active part in the various areas. As Japanese and one of the students of psychology major, I am especially looking up to Carl Ransom Rogers, Albert Ellis, Solomon Asch, Gustave Mark Gilbert, Hitoshi Aiba, Tadasu Ohyama, Yaekichi Yabe, Kyoko Noguchi. Your highest academic level of Psychology and remarkable historical standing has strongly influenced my decision to apply.
In addition, many international students are attending Columbia College, and that is one of your most appealing points because I would like to make an indispensable worldwide relationship. Being involved in it, I love your wonderful exchange students system. I am interested in experiencing other countries’ culture, so that system has attracted me too.

While I am studying at Columbia University, I can also enjoy the art gallery and museum. For example, the metropolitan museum of art, American museum of natural history, Guggenheim museum, Whitney museum of American art, the Frick collection, the Cloisters museum & Gardens, the museum of modern art are listed in my head. What a nice situation. I cannot help waiting to study at there. I researched about your class, I found you have a field research going to the historic place and building as a class activity.
