They did not have a set plan of what to do so students and teachers were running around panicking. This is one of the reasons that there were so many casualties. The author often says that Columbine was not prepared for this. b.) Eric Harris was about the average height and skinny. He had a clean cut, short military hair style. His face was pointed and long. d.) I do not think this book glorifies Eric and Dylan. It may seem that it is by detailing all the work they put into it, but the author does that to portray how dedicated they were to doing something so awful. The author does a great job of portraying the awfulness and brutality of the shootings. All the chapters following the shootings really show how it drastically affected the students of Columbine and so many others. These chapters will hopefully cause anyone who is contemplating this idea of mass murder to think twice about it. e.) I do think the author does an effective job of characterizing them as typical teenagers. Had I not seen the video before I read the book, I would assume that they were normal teenagers. I think this makes it very confusing to why they committed this awful crime. At the beginning of the book, the author describes Eric as a ladies man who could get any lady he pursued, and Dylan got a date to prom with his crush. The reader could ultimately assume that they were normal teenagers that didn’t have any serious problems. That is why it’s so confusing to why they did what they
