2a. Mission Statement Comcast’s mission statement is “We will deliver a superior experience to our customers every day. Our products will be the best and we will offer the most customer-friendly and reliable service in the market.” Customer service is extremely important for any business. It is extremely important because it is often the only source of communication for the customer. Customers must be able to obtain the service they are requiring in order for the company to be kept on terms with each and every customer. Customers often spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year at a company and are absolutely vital for the survival of any business. Comcast is notoriously known for their poor customer service. They do not live up to their mission statement and have unfulfilled promises. Comcast actually has officially obtained the reputation of having the lowest customer-service rating of any Internet service provider. This extremely hinders their reputation and prevents many people from continuing business with Comcast. They have been accused of not offering enough resources nor training to their service department for preparation of quality service delivery. Comcast has also been accused of neglecting the needs and concerns of their customers and simply trying to up-sell more expensive bundles, simply focusing on immediate money rather than the satisfaction of their customer.
