This commemorative coin was based off of the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg. The Capitol was where Patrick Henry gave his speech Caesar Brutus. This speech was very inspirational and important to the colonists. This is why on the front side of the coin Patrick Henry’s face is shown along with his famous words “Give me liberty, or give me death!” These very inspirational words are a sign of liberty which is why on the back is the Grand Union Flag.
Thousands of women have screamed at the top of their lungs, clawed at the patriarchy, and tirelessly fought for their rights as citizens of the United States of America. From the beginning of mankind, women have been labeled as inferior to men not only physically, but mentally and intellectually as well. Only in 1920 did women gain the right to voice their opinions in government elections while wealthy white men received the expected right since the creation of the United States. A pioneer in women’s suffrage, Susan B. Anthony publicly spoke out against this hypocrisy in a time when women were only seen as child bearers and household keepers. Using the United State’s very own Constitution and Declaration as ammunition, Anthony wrote countless
What is the Anzac Spirit or Legend? Is it important to future generations? Anzac characteristics are in no doubt displayed by Australian and New Zealand defence force personnel and these qualities should be taught to future generation. Arthur Bourke stated that the Anzac Spirit is a sensation that can only be felt, in one’s innermost soul, every Australian and New Zealander can nurture this intense patriotism (Australian War Memorial 2017, ‘Anzac Spirit’, p.2). Throughout my speech I will highlight the Anzac Spirit’s importance for future generation ought to include, the Sacrifices made by men and women, Anzac Day Traditions, Australia’s Identity and the Qualities of the Anzac Spirit.
Though we shouldn 't forget the main issue, these boys are a menace to the peaceful vibe overall. Yes that may seem harsh to say, but there are ways to celebrated MLK day. Coco Brown, Pug 's mom, described bike riding as a wau to keep the delinquents off streets even if it 's just for a day. Still, dirt bikes and atv 's do not belong on public roads. Especially if there are other civilians driving on the same road .
On Nov. 11, Major General James S. Hartsell spoke to more than 100 students, faculty, active duty members, and Veterans at Saint Leo University’s Veterans Day event. The room was filled with Veterans from the community wearing hats and pins that stated “Support Our Troops.” As a marine for more than 30 years, Hartsell addressed the audience about the importance of Veterans Day. He continuously reminded the attendees that freedom is not free, and that everyone should be extremely thankful for our military and Veterans.
Within hundreds of service hours, I have lost absolutely nothing and gained knowledge, experience, relationships, and so much more. One year has passed since I became Executive Assistant of Division 66. I have worked under our lieutenant governor and spectated our incoming lieutenant governor’s induction. I want to be in the crowd at the 68th Annual District Convention, cheering them on wholeheartedly -- not only as a member of the Divisional Board,
Veteran’s Day On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month of the year, 97 years ago, hostilities rested between Germany and the Allied Nations, marking the end of “the war to end all wars” (World War One), soon evolving as a day devoted to world peace, called “Armistice Day.” However, at the end of the Second World War, President Eisenhower reformed the day to “Veteran’s Day” – a 24-hour period to recognize and appreciate veterans who serve for our freedom and justice in every war.
I was very honored to know that I qualified as a possible candidate for the National Honor Society. To be honest, I never thought of being in the National Honor Society. Therefore, when I got pulled out of class I immediately thought I had done something wrong. I went home that day and told my mom about it. My mom looked me in the eyes and told me that she was very proud of me and gave me a big hug.
While I was gathering my information for this speech, my brother passed by. Out of curiosity, I asked, “Do you know what a Veterans Day is?” His exact words were, “Yeah, we get off school that day.”

I would like to start off by saying some thank yous to those who made this day possible. To my parents for the much needed love and support To my family and friends and to the people who helped with my eagle project And thank you all for attending my court of honor Over the past 13 years, scouting has taught me a lot of things that will stay with me the rest of my life. It has taught me, don’t use gasoline to start a fire.
Today I sit and ponder on what kind of America are my children growing up in and what kind of America are we going to see for our grandchildren and future generations. Let’s be honest, we have neighborhoods and cities terrorized by home grown gangs and gangs that have moved in from other countries. Just a month ago a nine year old boy was brutally executed by a gang in Chicago and now to complicate our concerns, we are constantly wondering when the “sleeper cells” of Islamic terrorist in America are going to awaken, if not already, and are we going to be a nation like Israel who constantly lives under some form of attack on a daily scale. Please understand, I am not attacking Muslims; however, I am speaking about Muslim extremist.
Decades speech Hey guys! ( waits for response) Today i will be talking about outlaws, like criminals? How about Bonnie and Clyde? I think yes.
Members of the Senate, people of Rome, today I have gathered you here so we can share in what is my victory, and soon to be yours. I have recently been named dictator of Rome, an honor which is beyond me, and quite possibly the greatest honor anyone has ever been given. I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has lead up to this wondrous day, as I prepare to cradle Roman society in my very arms. I could not have ascended to this power by myself, no. I believe that I was brought into this world with the light of gods beaming down upon me, and the blood of gods coursing through my veins.
Do you know the name of this statue? It is an important symbol for American people. Let me tell you about it. This is the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in New York City.
