In the book Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone takes place in Chicago 1995 and focuses on the now complicated life of Anna. When she meets Bennett, a time traveler, she is given so many opportunities and complications. Throughout the book she slowly gains feelings for Bennett but she isn’t truthful with herself throughout the time. The scenes where Anna and Bennett are in the coffee house, the first time Anna traveled with Bennett, and when Anna is reflecting on all the time her and Bennett had together is where readers can see a common theme of Love for someone has no limits , and being truthful about it helps.

Since Bennett is a time traveler he can go anywhere in any year. There is a scene when Bennett first tells Anna about how he has these powers. Her knowing these powers in their relationship let them do more than many other couples. The book says “Then he closes his eyes. And I watch him become transparent...”(Stone 110). This scene is so crucial in this story because if this scene were not to happen, than the other possible theme would make sense. However, since that is not how the book goes readers can truly believe that there is no boundaries in a relationship. Another scene that helps readers understand why the other possible theme is not as good as the other is the scene when Bennett brings Anna to his real bedroom in San Francisco 2012. Since Anna is from 1995 and that is where she should be in this scene, Bennett brings her to the future, his time period. The book states, “”What's the date?” “May 27, 2012.” I’m seventeen years away, in Bennett’s real bedroom.”(Stone 289). This piece clearly makes it obvious that the other possible theme would not make sense in this book because of the crazy relationship Bennett and Anna are in. If Anna and Bennett’s relationship were normal and unique to them it would definitely have boundaries, but in their situation it is definitely easy to see there are no boundaries in their
