The Art of Communication Communicating is the number one way people can share their thoughts with others. Communicating effectively is how people can keep healthy relationships in their lives. This leads Chris and Starr to get into a fight at prom. After Starr storms off, Chris confronts Starr about the shooting, saying, “There’s this whole part of your life that you’ve kept from me.” (300). Starr ends up telling Chris everything and they end up having a great night. If Chris had not told Starr how he felt and had they not had the conversations that they did, their relationship very well could have been over.
