The opinion of the Communist Party (CCP) and their assertion of democracy is a different one than the western perspective. According to the CCP democracy and stability are two variables contradicting each other. For those in power, stability appears to be more essential than democracy, leading the focus on this aspect. Stability, in this case, signifies a powerful state with sometimes-harsh sanctions.
