My community service learning experience is going to take place at James Tansey Elementary School. James Tansey school is located on 711 Ray St, Fall River, MA 02720. The school teaches from grades pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. The school claims to provide a student centered learning environment, comprehensive and challenging curriculum, and ensure that all community members treat each other with dignity and respect. Essentially creating a welcoming environment for students to learn and grow. I want to be apart of this learning experience for those who attend Tansey. At James Tansey School I plan to be offering extra help to students after school. My service is more than likely going to be with the 1st through 3rd grade class. …show more content…
What I teach them, they could carry on for the rest of their lives. While also teaching others and essentially making this world a better place. I think this service will help me grow as an individual. Working with this age group is going to teach me patience. Some kids may also be struggling to learn in a big environment. I will be giving them the one-on-one attention they desire and this could potentially change a child's life. Also when teaching one child, they will carry this on and teach others. This will have a huge impact on community. If we do good then others will follow and cause the world to be a better place.Tutoring is a way for me to give back to the community. Tutoring at my service is going to be a great experience. I will be helping other while also growing as an individual and giving back to the community. This impact that I have will carry on to many others, and that thought is enlightening. Knowing how much my actions will affect the community makes me want to put my full effort in helping others. When we think of community service we just think “something that is required for graduation”. But we need to see that community service is more than just hours. When it is acts that are performed by us that used to help others, that will bring benefits to our
