The author George Orwell captures characteristics in all of the animals and relate them to individuals who corrupt our society today as well as the civilians who has to live with the aftermath of the corruption. Growing up in England during the early 1900’s and being surrounded by the unfair class system really inspired him to compose the short novel “Animal Farm” (Yabroff). George Orwell was a very unique character, he was not afraid to point out the flaws of society with help of his writing. He was born june 25, 1903 in Motihari, India. Orwell 's mother brought him and his sister to england one year after he was born.
1) How do you feel about the novel at this point? By the time I am writing this I have already read the novel three times. From the first chapter I completed the first time around, I was enthralled with the idea of the book. I had wondered why humans were always running farms when wild animals seemed so much happier.

Among the pigs who are considered the most intelligent, Snowball and Napoleon are the two leaders of the revolution. While Napoleon has a reputation for always getting what he wants despite not speaking much, Snowball is considered more eloquent and creative (25). A third pig that plays the assisting role, Squealer, is extremely articulate and persuasive, and others think of him as one who is able to “turn black into white” (26). These three pigs try to explicate the fundamentals of “Animalism,” an ideology that they develop from old Major’s teachings, to other animals through secret meetings held several nights a week (26).
