Him and his father get separated from his sisters and his mother. During this time of Elie’s life, he his tested in his faith in God. As the sad story goes on Elie struggles with his faith and keeping his father alive. Schindler’s List is a true story of a german who saved 1,200 Jews. A man who was selfish and later on sacrificed all his money to save Jews. These heartbreaking narratives show the remembrance of these Holocaust survivors and how their values in life and sacrifices involve faith. The symbols in these stories wrap it all up as the Holocaust comes to and end.
At the beginning of the book, Elies value was to become a rabbi, to have a relationship with God. As For Schindler's values in the beginning were to have a good business, woman, and especially money. As both stories go on the values change dramatically. In Night, it goes from becoming a rabbi to survival. In Schindler's List it goes from owning lots of money, to helping Jews survive. Elie and Schindler made changes in their values with a step of faith. Even though Elie was struggling with faith throughout the book some part of him still had faith that he was going to make it to the end.
