In class we read and watched ‘the boy in the striped pajamas’, a novel about WW2. Both, the book and the movie have many similarities, however they also have their own elements that make them their own. For example, they tell the same story, yet they are still different. In this document, I will be explaining the differences of the characters, events, additional details and the ending between the book and the movie.
CHARACTERS
In both, the book and the movie, have the same characters, but it is their characteristics and personalities that make them different. In the book, it says that Bruno, the main character, is nine, though in the movie, gretel makes it clear that he is eight. The book also explains how

In the novel, it said that it was raining the day Bruno crossed the fence, but in the movie, it had started raining when Bruno’s family was looking for him. Also, when Bruno and Shmuel entered the gas chamber, Bruno had told Shmuel that he was his best friend, but in the movie that never happened. Lastly, when Bruno was finding a way to get to the other side of the fence, he went under the pulled over fence, but in the movie he dug a small tunnel. Anyhow, they still share the same, sad ending.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, it is clear that the book and the movie of ‘the boy in the striped pajamas’ have many things in comparison and contrast. The story of ‘the boy in the striped pajamas’ are the same with the book as with the movie, yet they are still different. There are still far more other things that fall into the categories, characters, events, additional details and ending. However, personally go for the book because it is more detailed and it is more suspenseful. In addition, I prefer the book because it is more interesting and I can use my imagination to imagine the
