The events of September 11, 2001 and the attack on Pearl Harbour were both considered days of infamy that have left a major impact on the United States. Even though these events are drastically different they do have some similarities. For example one similarities these two events have is that they both occurred in the mourning. One difference between these events have is that Pearl Harbour affected many people at the Naval Bases and the events of September was target more towards civilians. September 11 and Pearl Harbour both have many similarities and differences but are days that will be remembered forever.

This event cause over 2000 deaths and left many injured. At the time our President Franklin Roosevelt calls December 7,1941 “a date which will live in infamy”. The date of September 11.2001 was a surprise attack as well. On September 1,2001 four passenger planes were hijacked by a terrorist group named Al Qaeda. The first two planes crashed into the twin towers in N.Y.C, the third plane crashed into the pentagon in Virginia, and the fourth and final plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.This attacks lead to over 3000 deaths and more injured. Some other similarities are both these events have is that the both occurred in the morning. The first attack on Pearl Harbour happened around 7:53am. Many soldiers were in a state of shock when they were woken by the sounds a quakes of bombs around them. The United States was also very surprised because they were having peace talks
