The first point I have is at the start of the movie there was no dog fight rather than the book which did include this point. This was crucial in the movie because with this point it would have shown Billy's love and compassion about dogs from the start (pg # 1 - 4). Billy says, “ Come on, boy, let's go home and get something to eat.” (Wilson Rawls pg # 3)
A dog is a man’s best friend- a lot of people. Imagine you had some sort of mental or physical dissability. There are lots of ways you could get help, but a specific something sticks out the most. It is more of a someone than a something though. Dogs and lots of other animals improve lives in many ways such as aiding medical condition, lessen our stress, and help us do everyday or unusual tasks.
The first book I read this summer is Inside of a dog by Alexandra Horowitz. Horowitz is a teacher of psychology in Columbia University and specializes in dogs having years of research and experience. This book is very interesting and caught my attention because it’s all about understanding how dogs truly are and be able to understand how they perceive the world that surrounds them and what affects their behavior and builds their unique personality. This book is divided into all the different aspects of a dog, in total there are thirteen sections. For example”Belonging to the House”(Horowitz 360) is a section that reviews all the breeds and the process of making your dog.
Love that dog, is an interesting novel that narrates the story of Jack’s introduction to poetry and the short life of his dog, Sky, using a thoughtful tone for each of Jack’s ideas or feelings, a boy’s friendship with his dog, and explaining the story with Jack’s point of view which has a childish voice; the author, Sharon Creech empathize with the reader’s feelings and thoughts making it an enjoyable story. Jack’s thoughtful tone gives the reader a way to see a problem through the character’s own eyes such as when he is displeased that Ms. Stretchberry told him that he needed to explain his poem of the blue car, “You didn’t say before I had to tell why. The wheelbarrow guy didn’t tell why” (Creech 5).
The dog first starts out as a wild puppy. A few weeks later, after being nursed by their mother, a feral as well, the dog and his siblings Fast, Sister, and Hungry go outside of their den to explore the woods around them. Soon after, men come and capture them. The dogs arrive at a place called the Yard, where dozens of abandoned dogs reside under the guidance of a gentle old woman who is called Señora. Soon Toby is named by Señora, and adjusts to his new lifestyle.

In chapter 15, Walt and Eric head off to the railway. They talk about the dogs being vicious but they are still important because there is many times where they saved their owners lives. They say, “A good team is often worth its weight in gold to the owner.” I think they are so important because dogs are a way to get around during the winter, and they are used for protection to scare other animals away. The group thought Walt and Eric were older because the trip took toll on their bodies making them look much older.

Madison Bumgarner Mrs. Gallos English III Honors 22 March 2018 Is Your Service Dog Legally Certified? Even though many people believe emotional support dogs are considered service dogs and should have the same rights as the others, owners of service dogs are treated unfairly because of the increase in numbers of fake service dogs. This affects the ability for one to use a service dog to its full potential. People cannot be asked to leave a public place if the business thinks it is a fake dog because some service dogs are simply under-trained. The population of those using fake service dogs or emotional support animals are ruining the ability for the disabled to use them without being questioned.

The assistance of service dogs is very critical to current army soldiers and veterans that deal with post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety issues primarily by treating their health issues. Individuals rarely notice service dogs; especially, in a world that is filled with endless amounts of devices that consist of technological influence. Service dogs offer very beneficial services to individuals. Specifically, to soldiers that have PTSD and other stress issues, in which these issues are slowly deteriorating their lives throughout time.
