COMPARING AND CONTRASTING ZIONISM AND TRUE TORAH JEWS To start, Zionism and True Torah Jews do share some similarities but also some major differences. Zionism ideology thinks that the Jews are a nation of people like any other nation in the world. They believe there is always need for them to gather together in one homeland. Zionism is seen as the self-conscious Jewish analogue that led to the German and the Italian national movements of liberation that took place in the nineteenth century. The practice of Zionism has over time exchanged emphasis on religion to God in the Israelite homeland purpose all for achieving a nationalistic world goal alone. The movement of the Zionist after formation in the nineteenth century was after convincing Jews to be able to believe in a nationalistic character that previously, they had no previous knowledge about. These new beliefs viewed as a way in which they were being misguided and drawn further away from God, believing and following in the Old Testament laws as instructed by God. This is viewed as an ideology that is being rebellious to what God expects. The Zionist didn’t follow the commandments that were given to the Israelite by God, known as the Torah. Separate from this, anyone who gets the power of the Zionist is prevented from fulfilling or following the teachings by the Torah. This shows that there is basically not any freedom of religion in Zionism as there is in true Torah Jews where one does anything and everything according to their will. Zionists unites forces to fight and destroy the strength and the faith of Israel which is against the Torah
