Superior Education System in the United States

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world, ” (Nelson Mandela). The differences between the United States and Pakistan’s education systems is beyond what people really think it is. Education around the world is wildly different, and some education is better than others. The education system in the United States is far superior to that in Pakistan due to the United States having increased funding, greater resources, and more parental and governmental support. The U.S. gets money for education from mostly taxes. That’s how public schools are funded mostly. Private schools get their funding from donations and the school tuition the parents pay. U.S. schools have a lot more funding for extracurricular activities, such as; Sports, Fine Arts, and different clubs for multiple interests. In …show more content…

As it was developing people realized they needed a more formal path to education. To resolve this issue colonial communities created formal public schools. The Boston Latin School, for example, was the first formal public school to be developed in 1635. The schools focused on teaching math, science, and Latin, however boys were the only children allowed to attend. Girls from wealthy families were sometimes taught by private tutors in their homes. However; girls did not have the opportunity to receive formal schooling. The New England colonies education system began to spread to the southern and middle colonies. However; the New England colonies education mostly was based off of religion and taught religion.
