Justice William Brennan and Attorney General Edwin Meese held different views on the interpretation of the Constitution when it came to ruling in a case. Brennan held the view that judicial review should be done constitutionally, but to keep human dignity in mind when ruling in a case. Brennan makes his opinion on the matter known saying, “The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights solemnly committed the United States to be a country where the dignity and rights of all persons were equal before all authority.” (Brennan). Unlike Brennan, Meese believed in sticking strictly to what the constitution stated for most matters.
Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryan are amazing basketball players, but Michael Jordan is better. First of all, Michael Jordan won more championships than Kobe Bryan, Michael won about 8 or 6 times, and Kobe Bryan only won 1 or 2. Another way Michael Jordan is better than Kobe Bryan is because of jump height,Michael can jump around 50 feet while Kobe jumps the same as an average basketball player. Michael Jordan is better than Kobe Bryan in many ways, though Kobe can score more points in 1 game, Michael still has done many great things that makes him better. Some people know how many times Michael Jordan won a championship, the reason how he managed to do this is his speed and his jump height, because of this he can easily avoid others ans score
Into The Mind of Chris McCandless And Jon Krakauer Many people decide to live their lives alone. However, just a handful opt to live in the wilderness. Jon Krakauer's book, "Into the Wild," describes Chris McCandless' adventurous journey. Other than McCandless, many others have chosen to live and risk their lives.
“I believe children have the resilience to outlive their sufferings, if given a chance.” - Ishmael Beah After having gone through the most trying and obstacle-filled period of their lives, Ishmael Beah and Mariatu Kamara were given that chance. Kamara and Beah, although both having lived through the same war, had vastly different experiences from each other. Ishmael Beah was a child soldier for the government, a force to be reckoned with unless you were on his side, whereas Mariatu Kamara was a victim of a Rebel attack, a lone girl trying to survive after having her hands cut off and barely escaping certain death .
“I’m no longer accepting the things I cannot change... I’m changing the things I cannot accept”,this was once said by Angela Davis. Melba and Assata both changed what they didn’t accept. Assata and Melba were both women activist who wanted change during their time period. They had different strategies for making change but they had similar problems they had to face.
The Double Standard For Freedom The colonists accepted British authority for many decades, however in the mid to late 1700’s the colonists had a blossoming divergent identity and felt the British were infringing on it. This began with the Molasses Act and continued to build through the Stamp Act, the Tea Act, and then finally the Intolerable Acts. For many decades, the colonists were effectively autonomous, remaining under the British rule but behaving mostly independently. However, after the Seven Years War, Britain began to overreach by imposing revenue taxes on things like tea.
As Malcolm X once said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” This quote inspires a lot of people like me to try harder and to never stop at one point and give up. In the book The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates, is about two people with the same name and born with the same path, going through challenging life obstacles. They both grew up fatherless and had a difficult childhood.
There are many different opinions and texts about the man J. Bruce Ismay. Two texts that present these differences and similarities are, "Bruce Ismay: Coward, Villain, or A Man Who was Judged Unfairly?", and, "Family of Titanic's owner, J Bruce Ismay, Make Plea". While some texts are biased, like, "Family of Titanic's owner, J Bruce Ismay, Make Plea", which leans towards Ismay trying to save his life, or the film "Titanic", which favors Ismay as a coward and stealing a spot on a lifeboat, some are neutral like "Bruce Ismay: Coward, Villain, or A Man Who was Judged Unfairly?", which debate all sides of the story evenly. Since these two passages present different theories, it is clear why the two texts compel differences in the two texts. An example of a difference, or even a disagreement is that in the article, "Bruce Ismay: Coward, Villain, or A Man Who was Judged Unfairly?"

“I’ve failed over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed” (MJ). Michael with no doubt left the NBA as one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. Now the question I’m gonna answer is who is better between Jordan and Kareem. Both players are well known players on and off the court but when it comes down to the best of the best MJ wins. Michael Jordan is a superior player to kareem because of his success on and off the court.
Two of the greatest players to ever step on a basketball court, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. When thinking of greatness in the realm of basketball, these two definitely come to mind. They revolutionized the game and brought a standard to be met- Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. These two players were very similar in many ways. The moves they made were the exact same from the fade away jump shot, to the way they dunked the ball.
Current Racism in America The Civil Rights movement brought segregation to a general close but many people have the illusion that it ended all racism when in actuality, racism is still very much a problem in this country even though it is kept under wraps and disguised. It only keeps progress from occurring and limits the social progression of a society that is expected to be great. Denial of the issue doesn’t mean it does not exist. While men and women of all colors can now drink from the same fountain, they are not safe from institution discrimination or even dirty looks from their peers.
Fear is the core cause of the dramatic shift of lifestyle for both Okonkwo and Nwoye. Through the management of reputation and the avoidance of their father’s likeness, Okonkwo and Nwoye built new lives for themselves. Okonkwo sought power and authority to prove his masculinity and make up for Unoka’s reputation as a weak man. He did this to the point where manliness became his character. Fearlessness and violence were masculine qualities that in Igbo culture signifies strength and influence.
