Compare And Contrast Beowulf And Luke Skywalker

In our generation there are heroes and villains. There are couple people that come to mind. The heroes are Beowulf and Luke Skywalker. Then the villains are Grendel and Darth Vader. All of these characters made part of what our culture thinks of entertainment. Although there are Heroes and Villains hey make up what our culture and childhood has something to look up too.
Beowulf and Luke Skywalker have common traits,goals,ideals;but they have differences and unique philosophies. First the ideals what makes them a hero. Beowulf is a hero by the enemies he fought were all beyond human strength and capabilities and required superhuman abilities to bring down. Luke Skywalker is a hero by fighting the dark side, and saving the galaxy from destruction. They had similar traits by have the Courage to risk their lives,and their Loyalty to their people.Furthermore Beowulf and Luke Skywalker had goals to achieve to help and save their people. Beowulf goals were to defeat Grendel and to protect the Herot with his life. Beowulf achieved his goal by killing Grendel by his bare hands. Also keep peace throughout the galaxy,and restored the Jedi order. Luke Skywalker achieved his goal by bringing his father back to the light and …show more content…

Both of them wanted to destroy their enemies. Darth Vader is Villain by turning to dark side of the force. Also Grendel was a villain by killing 30 people every night for 12 years. The the traits show is they are powerful, and wounded Then Darth Vader goals were to destroy rebel alliance but never happened by Luke Skywalker, and what he did to not let that happen. Grendel goals were kill everyone he was in contact with and basically destroy the world. He was taught by his mother. But Beowulf killed him and his mother so didnt accomplished anything. The similarities between them is that both kill, and destroy the Galaxy. The differences between them were that Darth Vader didn't kill every night ,like Grendel
