The play version of The Diary of Anne Frank tells a story about a 13 year old Jewish girl during the Holocaust. In this play, Anne struggles with adjusting to living in the attic with her “family” while hiding form the Green Police. While the play continues to be read over and over again, a new book Night has stood out explaining Elie, the main character, in his journey during the Holocaust. In this book, the readers find out Elie is taken away from his family, all but his father, and sent to go work in many concentration camps. Although, Elie Wiesel and Anne Frank provides different settings to describe their experiences during the Holocaust, both are sent to an concentration camp at one point in both texts, and both are told in flashbacks.

Anne Frank and Guido Orefice, the two main character in the independent stories, have comparable lives and customs before they are hunted by the Nazis. In Guido’s story, Guido works in and owns his bookstore, in Anne’s story her father owns and manages his company. This reveals that Anne and Guido are rather affluent due to their family’s prosperous enterprise. Another correspondence between Anne and Guido is that neither are exceptionally faithful.
New laws during the war When the Nazis came to rule Germany and other parts of the world , they set rules which if disobeyed would result them to be sent to the death/concentration camps , and during the process of the transportation they would not be informed of their future .Laws such as Handing in any form of transportation (no public transportation allowed either ) , wearing a yellow star to classify them as Jews, shopping in between 3pm to 5pm or even strictly being at home/indoor at eight Pm sharp, those discussed were only a small fractions of laws as stated in the diary of Anne frank and the internet, as the would put nearly an anti-semtic law every single month for 6 years.
