The public life of Edgar Allan Poe was substantially different from his private life, but there is still some evidence that can connect the two through his writing. Mr. Poe had a very hard personal life between relatives and people he loved dying. Most of his feelings went into his writing, even though he wrote about them, his readers could not decipher the words. This left most of his personal life private. Mostly, he put on a happy persona to his readers in the public’s eye. Edgar A.
