‘’Electronic textbooks are better than traditional print textbooks.’’
The improvement of technology is developing. Electronic devices become more and more popular, it leads the production of electronic textbooks. Electronic textbooks appeared in late 1960s (Maynard, 2005). This discursive essay is focusing the benefits of electronic textbooks. To realize how electronic textbooks, provide the great condition to be teaching tool.
According The Oxford Advances Learner’s dictionary, it defines a book displayed on a computer screen or on an electronic device, instead of being printed on paper. It is call e-Book (Embong, 2012).
Nowadays, it is widely agreed that electronic textbooks are extra tool to support and increase the teachers and students learning process (Embong, 2012). In general, electronic textbooks have gained on traditional print textbooks.

Nevertheless, electronic textbooks also have disadvantages and limitations.
The limitations of using electronic textbook such as the hardware with battery and hard disc. Make sure that the location have enough power supply, in case, the teachers and students electronic device out of power, they cannot continue the lesson. Also, the hard disc is a limited storage ability, there are not support the user put all e-books in to one device (Embong, 2012). The user might carry a external hard disc or using the online drive.
Some student may get used to read on traditional print textbooks, and they cannot get any delight while reading the electronic textbooks (Embong, 2012). Some student prefer who turn the page by themselves, also they want to smell and touch the book.
The experimentation showed electronic textbooks reader need more time to finish the reading from traditional print textbooks.
