Anthony Ray Hinton does an amazing job showing us what his life was like and all the ups and downs while on death row, in The Sun Does Shine. In the beginning of the book, Hinton and his mother have a very strong relationship with each other and God. His mother is always looking to God for help and trying to keep Anthony’s hopes up through God. He questions where God is and how God could punish him.
