Compare And Contrast Harrison Bergeron And Welcome To The Monkey House

There are many different short stories over science fiction. They all have minor things in common but yet they are all so different. For example they all will be about the future or something that is not going to happen right now but they are things that could be real but are not right now. The three stories I am going to compare and contrast are Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut, A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury, and Welcome to the Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut. To begin with the settings are pretty similar. Harrison Bergeron is based in the future, as well as A Sound of Thunder, likewise is Welcome to the monkey house. These all stories are based on what the world will be like in the future, but some of them are based on the near future like Welcome to the monkey house, while A sound of thunder and Harrison Bergeron are based a little further in the future. But they are all based on different futuristic things. While Harrison Bergeron is made to make everyone the equal, A sound of thunder is about time travel and hunting, and Welcome to the Monkey House is about sustaining a population and making a world where there is no sexual desires. Welcome to the Monkey house and Harrison Bergeron are both written by Kurt Vonnegut. While A sound of thunder is written by Ray Bradbury. Now Kurt Vonnegut is an author. He had a career span of about 50 years. He also fought in world war two. Now Ray Bradbury was also an author. They both were in their careers during the same time period, but Ray Bradbury helped with some screen plays to go along with writing books. He is also known for being responsible for bringing science fiction in to the thing that it is today.
