This year is an extraordinary year for American politics as there is an upcoming presidential election. On Election Day, the citizens of the United States will cast their vote for the presidential candidate they would like to see become the next leader of this great nation. However, there are many things to take into consideration when voting for either candidate. Hillary Clinton is an individual who has a great deal of experience in American government.
Bill Clinton and Donald trump were two American Presidents that had unfortunately been impeached but for less unfortunate reasons the only part about it is what they did to get in that situation. What does it mean to get impeached? Impeachment is the removal of a person with power from office. Ways to get impeached are high crime, such as felonies in a criminal trial, another one is bribery, which our last president Donald J trump committed in his election.
The similarities and differences of the 2016 Presidential Campaign regarding the economic policies parallel each other. Both Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump have similar goals yet have striking differences when it comes to their plan of action. The gaining of revenue for the U.S. economy presented by both candidates focuses on their primary objective. However, contrasting the vision of both successors, their plans of actions are very diverse. Clinton, purposes implementing a Greater tax for those companies who outsource their jobs; she would “reinvest those earning into the American people”(C-SPAN).
Throughout United States history there have been several influential Presidents. Many modern day Presidents such as Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagen and Barack Obama, have made remarkable impacts on society. They have worked and created programs to positively affect our nation. Some of these actions include the Family and Medical Leave Act, Violence Against Women Act, minimum wage increase, Tax Reform Act of 1986, Environmental Protection Agency, deregulation, SDI, Affordable Care Act, and the Dont Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010. These are just a few of numerous actions/programs these men enacted.
This speech was spoken by Ben Carson. Ben Carson was a retired neurosurgeon and politician who served as the 17th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 2017 to 2021. Ben Carson used this speech as a forum for the political, social, and business elite to assemble and pray together. Authors Fran Burke and Betty Houchin Winfield both enlighten readers to the many accomplishments of former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. While both authors give Eleanor rightful praise and recognition, they do so in different ways. In her essay “She Made a Difference”, Burke focuses on Eleanor’s humanitarian work through charitable organizations, while in “The Legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt”, Winfield places more emphasis on Eleanor’s work as a journalist and influence in shaping the role of the first lady. By providing various examples of her dedication, persistence, and independence, Burke and Winfield write effective pieces that highlight Eleanor’s most noteworthy qualities.
Although the anti-immigrant groups believe that the federal law overpowers any moral law, Rose continues to discreetly show her support with the pro-immigrant group. Rose critiques the “wall” as a method of preventing immigration that will ultimately fail just like the Great Wall of China and the Berlin wall which in the end “cannot contain the mass movements of people” (97). Rose is suggesting that the border fence will too be just another wall of admiration such as the Great Wall, that failed to serve its purpose rather evoked thousands of unnecessary deaths.
