After comparing Arizona State University and Mizzou, ASU would be a better school for me due to its location, campus and academics. Though both schools are impressive schools, I am forced to pick one to attend in the fall. Today, most all schools in the U.S. have something to offer their students whether it be academic or sports related. The main factor that I look at when choosing a school is it’s academics, I need a school that will set me up for where I want to be 10 years down the road.
Mizzou has always been a choice school for me, living in missouri, Mizzou is the stereotypical school that kids choose to go to. It has many good things going for it, for example, the overall academics are at Mizzou live up to what I am looking for. …show more content…

Arizona admissions requirement are very similar to those of Mizzou, but, ASU requires a 26 on the ACT whereas Mizzou requires a 22. Right off the bat this makes ASU a much more competitive school, which in turn could lead to me landing a better paying job after graduating. Graduates, “are welcome to use the career advising and job search services provided by the university's Career Services offices on all four campuses.” (ASU) This shows that ASU is better equipped to help find me my career of choice post college, and even if I find I don't like the initial job, they can find me another career that better suits me. ASU also has Barretts Honor College (ASU) which would be an amazing opportunity for me to get the same atmosphere of a semi ivy league college and would offer me more challenging academics, plus graduating at an honors college would look much better than just “Mizzou” on my resume. Lastly, we’ll take a look at ASU’s campus culture. When i toured ASU, the campus was not only vibrant, but it was also very obvious that the student body was not only learning knowledge and skills that will allow them to be very successful in life, but they also were having fun. Whereas when i visited Mizzou, the campus was anything but vibrant, and the students looked...just bored, which would certainly not serve me
