It is September of 1806, we finally got back from the two year and four months expedition, it began on May of 1804. This expedition is a fact finding mission, the expedition began in St. Louis traveled to Pacific Ocean and back to St. Louis. I don’t know how we made it through these years I am so happy I went through this expedition with Meriwether Lewis, Sacagawea, William Clark, and more. We were commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson the third president of the United States of America. Lewis and Clark expedition was commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson. The expedition was to find and map a water route across North America from Atlantic to Pacific Ocean (Northwest Passage). Establish good relations with Native Americans and announce territory is controlled by government. Plus collect information about plants and land along the route.

There was a lot of plants,animals, and landscapes that we encountered in the expedition. One of my favorites was the Swift Fox we encountered the fox on July 6th, 1805 in the Vicinity of the Great Falls. Lewis refereed the fox as a “remarkable small fox”, they are becoming extinct. She helped Lewis and Clark out with the Shoshone tribe that was the scariest tribe I had ever met. The reason that she helped us out was because her brother was the leader of the tribe and I want to tell everyone that she was brave and courage. Her name is Sacagawea she survived at least one of her tribe, the Shoshone, had her and she got captured by the Hidatsa. When she was 12 years old. She didn’t even panic when she got captured. There was three skills Sacagawea brought to the expedition her official role was a Shoshone interpreter. Without Sacagawea the Lewis and Clark’ expedition would have never finished. She knew her way through the Missouri River and
