The battles of Lexington and Concord were the very first battles of the revolutionary war. on april 19 great Britain's general gage would send out troops held in boston to make way to lexington where they were supposed to capture leaders Sam Adams and John Hancock. after Lexington they were supposed to go to Concord where they would seize gunpowder.
