The Lion King The Lion King and the story of Osiris are very similar. Just like in the story of The Lion King, Osiris is the ruler of the land, with his wife by his side, and an evil brother, named Set. Set tricks his brother into getting into a chest, for whoever fits it perfectly wins. Of course the chest fits Osiris, and Set sends him off into The Nile River, locked in the chest. When Osiris’ wife, Iris, sees this, Set cuts him up into 14 pieces. Iris the has to put Osiris back together and breathe life back into him in order for them to create a son, Horus. In The Lion King and The Story of Osiris, Mufasa and Osiris are both the rulers of their land. They both bear sons, Horus and Simba. Osiris and Mufasa are both good and caring. Sarabi, Mufasa's wife, and iris, Osiris’ wife, are similar because they are both creative and wise. They are also both equal to their husbands. Scar has his nephew, Mufasa’s son, Simba go into the gorge where he waits for a “surprise from his father”. Mufasa then goes into the gorge because Scar told him Simba fell in. Mufasa then proceeds to get trampled by wildebeests and dies. Set tricks his brother into getting into a chest, saying that whoever fits it perfectly wins it. The chest was made for Osiris to fit into, so he then “won” it, but Set locks the lid and sets him off into the Nile River. In the story of Osiris, they are humans, and in The Lion King, they are lions or other animals. There was a chest used to trick Osiris, and Mufasa’s own son to trick
