When it comes to choosing which societies an individual would rather live in, one of the biggest consequences that comes to the decision is putting oneself into the time period and understanding the lifestyle that those people had to faced in the past and the present (if it still exists today). Charted in the early 1600s, both the Massachusetts Bay and Jamestown colonies had different type of positives and negatives in which the citizens lived by. After careful consideration of the two colony, I would prefer to live in Massachusetts Bay Colony more than Jamestown due to the survival rate and the system that it had among the people within the community. In one of the lecture videos from this week, the speaker mentioned that no one knew exactly what was God’s plan on whether his or her soul would go to heaven or hell. If I were in that situation, I would not constantly be thinking about where my soul would end up after leaving the Earth; instead, I would rather live my life based on my own term while sticking with the rest of the citizens in the community and follow the rules as a great citizen.
