Many times disparate people face similar situations, however each individual will handle it differently based on their values. In the story The Most Dangerous Game, written by Richard Connell, a famous hunter falls off a yacht and is stranded on an island where he must survive being hunted. In the film, High Noon, written by Carl Foreman, a marshal of Hadleyville defends his town from a gang of criminals. Although the characters in the text and film are different, the themes and conflict are very similar.
