Compare And Contrast My Personal Experience With The American Education System

I am an international student enrolled at Murray State University this year. I have interviewed an American student so I will share my own experience and compare it to the American Educational system.
I came from a small country that is located in the northern part of Africa called “Tunisia”. It has approximately eleven million inhabitants. Both Arabic and French are spoken in Tunisia. I have been in the US for approximately eight months as I came here in August. I remember that elementary education in Tunisia was fun and challenging at the same time. The third year sciences section students can split in either: Mathematics, Experimental sciences or Technology. I pursued an Experimental sciences major which are more focused on Biology. I had to take: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Programming, Arabic, French, English, Spanish (elective), History, Geography, Civic education, Philosophy and a gym class for my junior and senior years. Typically there was an average of twenty-five student students per class. Classes were a mix of the lesson, exercises, group projects… Actually, the difference I can tell between American and Tunisian education is that back home we do most of the work in the class. For example, teachers make time to go through details and give us specific homework, however, in the US they tend to give readings and writing papers as assignments and students need to study at their own pace and ask for help when needed. Also, in Tunisia, at certain grades, all students need to take the same courses but in America, there is the freedom for the student to select the courses they would like to
