Before the Holocaust, Europe had about 9.5 million Jews. Marc states, about six million Jews were murdered. The Holocaust began in 1933, Adolf Hitler became the leader of Germany, He believed that the Germans were racially superior convinced Germany to declare WWII all over Europe and controlled most of the countries in Europe. Till this day people are in shock that so many lives were killed during a time-period. most Jews were killed until 1939, in Poland about 91 percent of Jewish people were slaughtered and tortured. I think the Holocaust was a horrible event that occurred, we should not forget want has happened to the millions of lives killed, so we won’t repeat anything horrible like this.

In the book Night, Weisel explains his life experience in the death camps. on pElie Wiesel states, "I pinched myself: was I still alive?" We can infer that Wiesel did not know if he was having a nightmare or if this whole bad thing planned out smoothly is all true. He makes it even more emotional for him and the reader, hoping that this will not happen again. In the poem "To the Little Polish Boy Standing with His Arms Up" by Peter Fischl shows how he feels regret for not speaking up to the little Polish boy, Fischl wants to write a song for him so the world will remember, make it memorable for not only him but all those who have died of suffering, "I would make a monument of you and the world who said nothing", He wants the world not to forget the Polish boy but also the millions of lives lost victims of the Holocaust. Both are showing regret and sadness. Most importantly, they both do not want the world to forget, so it will not happen
