Each sport has their own rules and each sport has their own skills that leads the team to a win. Softball and volleyball are two very different sports, but use some of the same skill and are similar in a few ways. Watching a game of volleyball or a game of softball you would not think they are similar because they look nothing alike when they are being played, but some of the skills are similar. I am now going to compare and contrast the game of volleyball to a game of softball.
The game of volleyball looks quite simple but is very difficult to master. Volleyball takes a lot of hand and eye coordination. You have to be quick when playing volleyball, especially with your feet. You need to be ready to move at a late notice. Volleyball is a team sport, if your super good at passing, setting and hitting, good for you, but you can only touch the ball a limited number of times before sending the ball over. Being a good volleyball player is a good thing, but you need to connect and communicate to gain points and win for the other 5 players on your team. Volleyball is a game that takes several days of practice. When playing volleyball you cannot expect to hit the ball one time and for it to be a kill. Both sports are team sports and individual sports at the same time. Both volleyball and softball are team sports, but they are both individual at the same time. You need a lot of practice to gain the skills. Both sports have "individual time". For example, softball you bat alone and volleyball you serve alone. Those are two times during the game that you can do good on when playing even if your team is not very good at it. Softball you touch the ball when throwing the ball and volleyball you touch the ball when passing, setting and hitting. Both sports can be played all year around. Volleyball and softball are similar in a few
