Everybody loves superheroes. Both Marvel and DC Comics have an abundance of characters, ranging from conceptually brilliant figures such as DC Comic’s The Endless to geeky, innocent characters; for example, Marvel’s Squirrel Girl. Two specific groups, Suicide Squad (DC) and the Avengers (Marvel), have numerous common aspects. Both are a collection of people with powers. They coordinate as a team and accomplish their set objectives to protect the world in their respective universes. However, manifold differences can be found between the two. As stated in the movie, the purpose of the Avengers is to “bring together a group of of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could.” The Avengers are under the control of SHIELD (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division), an organization that protects the United States from menacing threats. Driven by goodwill and pure motives, the Avengers stop antagonists while protecting civilian lives and minimizing damage. By contrast, Suicide Squad is menacing. Contracted by the government to discard of down high-profile criminals and complete controversial assignments, Suicide Squad is deadly. Since they are reputedly notorious, the government can deny all associations with the members if discovered. Additionally, Suicide Squad is motivated by bribery. If successful, the members are given better treatment, shorter sentences, and less punishment by wardens in the prison. If they fail or attempt to escape, they die by biologically implanted bombs. Therefore, if judged by morality, the Avengers are leagues above any superhero faction. But if judged by accuracy of human nature, Suicide Squad is verisimilitudinous. Consequently, in cases of a deeper, intriguing plot, realistic actions, and darker missions, Suicide Squad is
