Both Stanford and Penn State didn’t have as many requirements for a Bachelor’s degree as I expected. Of course, I predicted that Stanford would have more requirements than Penn State, and this rang true. I like the simplistic ideas of just maintaining grades at Penn State, but I also like the challenge at Stanford. I am certainly one to challenge myself but there comes a time when I have to question whether it’s too much for me to handle. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. With all of the other strenuous academics at Stanford, I am wondering if taking even more of it on would be beneficial to my learning and overall mental state of health. From the crazy traditions, to the laid-back California atmosphere, my interviewee Brian Alexander Levin described, it sounds like everyone is in it together. Everyone is stressed and they all understand how others are feeling. But still, just reading what the requirements were to get a degree at Stanford were overwhelming! While Penn State is still very academically demanding, I can just concentrate on one thing in order to get my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: grades. That’s it!
