Both the French Revolution and the British Civil Wars were caused due to the same reason, struggle of keeping society equal when it comes to class. However, even though they both had very similar causes and outcomes, they both made complete differences times of the modern age. The French Revolution lasted 10 years (1789 to 1799), and the three British Civil wars lasted 9 years (1642 to 1651). What do you think? The situation was even a lot worse than it could have been it wasn’t for France being involved with America's War of independence and their corrupt system of taxing. Another reason when it comes to the economy the French Revolution took place was because of the Estate system, while the first and second classes didn’t have to pay taxes because they were considered the “upper class”, the Third Estate just started burdening the “upper class”. When it came to Britain’s economy before the revolution, Charles did believe in the ‘Divine Right of Kings’ which means that monarchs were specifically chosen by God and that he could rule his kingdoms with a personal hint, after taking guidance from a Privy Council that he chose. Evidence for this is when it came to politics in Britain, it was heavily involved with religion. The Church of England was Protestant but there were many disagreements with other faiths, such as Presbyterians and Puritans who believed that worshipping their belief that should be plain and faithful. Many still followed the old religion, Catholicism which was opposed by the people who wanted to bring back ‘Popery’ and take over Rome. There was an approach among the Protestants not agreeing with other faiths especially Puritans due to the king favoring Catholicism, or at least wanting to respect it. This concern had more fuel added onto it after Charles’s marriage that took place to a Catholic princess, Henrietta Maria of France, and his spreading awareness of a ceremonial ‘high Church’ in the Church of England, however, when it came to the French Revolution when it comes to the social factor of why the French Revolution was caused is because in the late 18th century there was the Estate System which was very unequal and corrupt. The first two estates were the Clery and nobility that didn’t need to pay taxes and were very wealthy, while the third and final estate were the peasants which had to pay a lot
