During the 20th century, Russia was experiencing turmoil in war and the country was deeply affected with Tsar Nicholas’s wrong decisions and lack of experience in politics. After the 1917 revolution in Russia, Lenin became the ruler of Russia and the USSR and proved to be the best Russian ruler of the 20th century. Before then, Tsarism dominated and Nicholas II was in power until he foresaw many revolutions against his methods of ruling. He remained as the supreme ruler and did not take actions for reforms. However, after the 1917 revolution, which Lenin masterminded, the Tsar was overthrown and the Bolsheviks established a stable government which took control in Russia.
The Russian revolution resulted in the overthrow of the country’s monarchy and the establishment of the Soviet Union. It started off with many protests and strikes that forced Tsar Nicholas II out of power. As a result, a provisional government was put in place but it was weak and ineffective so the Bolsheviks took control and established a socialist government. The Bolshevik Revolution was caused by a combination of unstable and corrupt monarchies, unfair treatment of the populace, and a lagging industry, which eventually led to the creation of the USSR.
The people forced the imperial government to resign, and on March 15th the people got their wish when “Czar Nicholas abdicated his throne( Russian Revolution History.com)”. When he abdicated his throne in favor of his brother a lot of the problems he caused were fixed. And because his brother didn't accept the Czarship it ended Czarism.
Research Project The United States of America and Russia have both been the most powerful countries in the world after WW2. So, how do the social, political, and cultural aspects of Russia and The United States make them the two most powerful countries in the world? Both countries before WW2 were in turmoil. The United States was going through the Great depression which was an economic collapse.
It was Capitalism vs Communism, which is not constricted to just those two countries. The Soviet Union had a major flaw. A communist model usually requires a dictator and as history would prove they become power mad and usually mistreat their people.
After World war II, the Soviet Union and the United States were the strongest nations. Both sides had different ideas of government and economics. A war of ideas developed between those two countries, also known as the Cold War. The United states is a capitalistic country, where people and business control the production of goods. People decide where they work and live.
In the early 1900’s the Russian people had become angry at the way the Russian monarchy (Tsar Nicholas II) had handled foreign affairs and how he was treating his people unfairly. They had many protests, one in 1905 and two in 1917. The revolution in 1905 overthrow the absolute monarchy and put in a provisional government. No one really listened to the provisional government, so they overthrew it again in 1917. These revolutions and acts of disobedience led to many unnecessary deaths of innocent people.
America VS Russia in Industrialization Revolution of Industrialization was like a new era in the 18th century. It began when people feel that they need more goods to survive and continue living while they have all needs to industry. People started to find new goods and use new tools, which means they were innovated. Revolution of industry first started in Europe, and people slowly developing the process. Later, people in the entire world competing on developing industry.
Comparison of the United States and the Soviet Union Cody Swartz The Soviet Union was a country that took a different approach at governing its people than the United States, instead of taking up Democracy as most modern countries have the Soviets installed a Totalitarian system. A Totalitarian form of government is at the other end of the spectrum compared to Democracy. In the Soviet Union, the market was controlled by the government, there was no mass media, and a massive amount corruption within the government. We don’t hear much about these kinds of countries anymore, because most of them failed.
The Russian people didn't like how they were being ruled so they rioted, but in the end their revolution turned selfish and greedy as Stalin rose to power. World War II is another great example of a ‘revolution’ gone bad, World war II was a mass killing of thousands all orchestrated by one man. Hilter was a vile man, who did horrible things to the Jewish, gypsy and slav people, even going as far as trying to hide what he was doing. Keeping the killing programs as secret as possible so the German people didn't realize how horrible of a man Hitler was. Only a few revolutions have made such an impact as the American Revolution, the Russian revolution, and World War II.
Many people felt nationalists allowed foreigner to dominate China. Both Chinese and Russian leaders were forced to give up their thrones. Communism quickly came to power after that. Soviet and Chinese communism were both similar in politics and economics, but different in social. One way Chinese and Russian Communism was similar was politics.
With the current data of the maternal and child mortality and morbidity in the United states. It has decreased over the last century but it has been increasing in certain ethnicities. Such as in 2007 the mortality rate was about 12.7 deaths per live births when in 1987 it was only about 6.6. With hispanic and black women it is not too far from 8.9 deaths. Some of the most common complications relate from pregnancy, internal hemorrhage and eclampsia.
The Russian Revolution, which was started by Lenin and his followers, was a rebellion that occurred in 1917 which forced higher powers to act to the needs of the lower class. For instance, many citizens were worried for their protection in consequence to the lack of survival necessities due to an early drought. Furthermore, their current czar during the time was incapable for his position as a czar and made horrendous decisions as czar. For example, when the czar, Nicholas, entered in World War I, he sent untrained troops into countless battles of failure which costed in mass amounts of lost life (paragraph 23).
The Russian Revolution is a governmental overthrow of a ruling that took place in the early twentieth century. Prior to the revolution, Russia was ruled by Czar Nicholas II who was a part of the last reigning Russian monarch, the Tsar. The Tsar had complete power in Russia as he owned much of the land, commanded the army, and controlled the church. During the reign of the Tsar, the Russian citizens were treated badly and unfair. They experienced vigorous labor in dangerous conditions for little pay and were without food and money countless times.
In conclusion to compare and contrast I have learned that each economy has their specific way of controlling and governing. However, this is not to say that people do not agree that one may run a government more efficient than the other. I believe a person should have the right to decide for themselves what economy they best fit in, in order to start a living and future. We all have different opinions on certain laws and government and therefore we as people make the decision what best represents us and how we agree a government should be
