The three major religions in the world today are Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. These three religions are alike in many ways as they are also different Christianity is by far the biggest world religion, it has left a massive mark on the worlds religious, cultural and political development. Christianity is similar to Judaism because they both share the Ten Commandments and the Old Testament from the bible. The three religions are alike because they trace back to the Middle East. They share some beliefs from that of Abraham and Moses. The Prophet to worship God or Allah without worshiping anything along with him, to offer the five daily prescribed prayers, and for Muslims to fast for the month of Ramadan. Jesus a prophet came through Galilee preaching the coming of Gods kingdom on earth and his coming. He often spoke of in stories and based many of his teachings on the Hebrew Bible. In 1054, Christianity split into two branches Eastern Orthodox and the Roman Catholicism. For example in the U.S. there are three major branches of Judaism, Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox. Unlike Christianity, Muslims have one version of their religion not different types like Christianity. Before Judaism, most religions worshipped many Gods, spirits, animals, or dead ancestors. The Torah tells the history of the Jews from Gods creation of the world to the death of Moses, a prophet who led his people out of slavery in ancient Egypt. Jewish history has been marked by persecution and exile. God often revealed wisdom to prophets, wisdom, which was in verbal form, has become known as sacred scripture. Unlike Judaism, Muslims believe that the last of the prophets was Muhammad. The revelation, given to him is the Qur 'an. The purpose of revelation is to enable Muslims both to devote themselves to God and to lead lives and build societies that will increase their closeness to God in this world and for all
